Student Leader Opportunities

Working in Campus Living is a valuable way to develop leadership skills, meet new people, and create positive social and educational experiences for students living on campus.

Applications for the 2023-2024 Student Leader Team are now closed, but please feel free to review this page for more information about Campus Living leadership opportunities.

Campus Living has two live-in student leadership positions:

Resident Advisors (RAs)

The RA supports and encourages residents to make the most of their LC experience by exploring their identity, developing meaningful relationships, making intentional choices, and focusing on their trajectory at LC and beyond. The RA establishes a cohesive and responsible community in their designated area, facilitates the holistic development of relationships with residents through one-on-one interactions, promotes resident involvement, and refers and supports residents as they manage academic and personal challenges.

Residential Experience Managers (REMs)

REMs work collaboratively with their supervisor and staff team to support community development and resident engagement. REMs will provide role modeling, mentorship, and peer support for Resident Advisors (RAs) within their assigned community. The REM also plays a key role in supporting Living Learning Community (LLC) program development and delivery efforts and participates in Campus Living committees.

Both positions are instrumental in co-creating a supportive, interdependent, and educationally purposeful residential community for Lewis & Clark that:

  • Celebrates the wisdom of diversity and inclusion;

  • Promotes engagement and citizenship;

  • Fosters self-advocacy and personal responsibility;

  • Champions holistic student development and the betterment of the collective.
