East/Roberts/West Halls house juniors and seniors on campus in apartment-style suites. Four bedroom suites have one bedroom for each resident, a furnished living room, full kitchen (stove top, oven, refrigerator), and bathroom/vanity areas. Two bedroom suites have one bedroom for each resident, a living area with one couch and coffee table, a kitchenette (stove top, microwave and refrigerator), and a bathroom/vanity area.
In addition, each building has high ceilings and spacious lounges, providing students with a central area to watch TV, sit by the fireplace, or study in large groups.
Maggie’s - the campus coffee shop & convenience store, open from 7:30am until midnight - is located in Roberts Hall, providing students with a place to purchase an early morning coffee or a late night snack. East Hall also contains a community recreation center with pool table, foosball, ping pong, exercise equipment and a computer room.
Our campus apartments are a great environment for upper division students wanting the convenience of living on campus in non-traditional style residence halls.
West Hall also is host to the Residential Language Communities, intentional language immersion communities where students apply to live, speak, and study in a language other than English. Language Assistants, who work with the Department of Foreign Languages, live in these communities and help to guide the language and cultural development of residents. For more information about applying, check out the Theme Housing site.
Keep in mind, this is just a sample room. Most of the apartments are all similar in size and layout to the one shown above.
If you have completed the two-year residency requirement, or if you are transferring to the College with at least 28 credits, you are eligible to apply for occupancy in the apartments. Typically, two or four students who wish to live together apply and sign the lease for an apartment. It is possible to apply alone for a two-bedroom unit. In this situation, the Office of Campus Living will make unit assignments based on roommate preference information received from you. Applications for the 2012-2013 academic year are now available in the Office of Campus Living or at this site. If you have questions about the application process, please contact us by email at email@example.com.
