Changes and Exemptions
Changing Your Meal Plan
The deadline to change a meal plan is the first Friday of an academic semester.
The deadline to change a meal plan for Spring 2022 is January 21st 5pm. Requests submitted after this date and time will not be accepted. Campus Living will not accept meal plan changes for the remainder of the Spring 2022 semester.
Meal Plan Exemptions
A meal plan is obligatory for every student who lives in on-campus housing. Requests for exceptions to the meal plan will only be considered for a documented medical or psychological need, or for a medically prescribed diet that Bon Appétit personnel cannot provide. Coursework and/or employment schedules, finances, or diets recommended by someone other than a medical doctor or licensed therapist will not qualify for an exception or alteration to the meal plan requirement. Food service personnel are amenable to discussing special provisions or substitutions to meet dietary requirements, significant scheduling conflicts or other individual food needs. Therefore, before you will be considered for an exception to the meal plan requirement, even with medical documentation, you must have met with and discussed the possibility of special provisions with Bon Appétit staff.
We ask that you contact Ryan Jensen, the General Manager of Bon Appétit at Lewis & Clark, before reaching out to campus living for additional meal plan exemption information.
You can contact Ryan Jensen at (503) 768-7891 or email rjensen@lclark.edu.
