Meilin Beloney (they/them) ’26
Year in school: 2nd Year
Major: Sociology & Anthropology
How do you self-identify: mixed race (Chinese and Black), queer, trans
Ask me about: Queer Student Union, particularly Trans Group; books (I have tons of recommendations for ownvoices queer and BIPOC rep); crafting (I especially love beading and crocheting!)
What does IME mean to you? To me, IME means community. I come from a pretty racially diverse area, so coming to Lewis and Clark has been my first time experiencing what it is like to be a person of color at a predominantly white institution, and it has been super alienating for me. IME has been a space where I can find other people of color and build that community that I have been lacking in the greater LC sphere.
