Student Counseling Center x IME - The Let Out

The Let Out is a space where Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) students can engage with one another through sharing, listening, and supporting one another. It is facilitated by one of our on-campus mental health counselors. These spaces of support can sometimes happen over games, crafts, or food. The counselor is there to guide discussions and answer questions about mental health challenges while offering ways to cope while at college.

We all need a space to “Let out” a sigh of relief, frustration, or despair and “Let out” the thoughts we’ve been holding in all day.

Whatever you’ve been holding in and want to express it in a safe space, the Let Out is the perfect spot to do so. We meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm in the IME suite (3rd floor of the Fowler Student Center by the spiral staircase).

  • September: 14th and 28th

  • October: 12th and 26th

  • November: 9th and 23rd

  • December: 7th and the last one before the semester concludes will be on 14th

This event is facilitated by the Counseling Center.
