Course Catalog: Pre-Medicine/Pre-Health

The Health Studies minor recognizes the growing interest students have in public health and the value of a liberal-arts approach to solving the world’s current and future public health challenges. The minor is multidisciplinary, bringing together coursework, internship experiences, and scholarly activity across the sciences, social sciences, and humanities. For students interested in fields such as public health, healthcare administration, and healthcare policy, and those interested in medicine, physical therapy, and other clinical careers.

Graduates of Lewis & Clark have entered the fields of medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, osteopathic medicine, medical technology, physical therapy, and nursing.  Although many Pre-medicine / Pre-health students major in biology, biochemistry, or chemistry, students can enter graduate programs in the health professions with any undergraduate major.
