Choose Your Pre-Health Courses
Although many pre-med and pre-health students major in biology, biochemistry, or chemistry, students can enter graduate programs in the health professions with any undergraduate major.
If you plan to pursue postgraduate work in the health professions, plan to take required courses in biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and psychology. Many health-professional schools require advanced coursework in some of these areas as well.
Because many courses required for admission to health-professional schools are sequential, good planning is key. Here’s how to get started.
Contact your pre-health advisor, Carolyn Zook to make a detailed plan. Interested in healthcare and want a guide to undergraduate classes that can help you get there? Check out this handy list of pre-health courses from the College Advising Center. We also have interdisciplinary courses in health and healing offered through the Health Studies minor.
