Hannah Brewer

Hannah Brewer is a Portland-based organist, pianist, and harpsichordist. She holds performance degrees from Oberlin Conservatory of Music and Pittsburg State University, as well as a graduate degree in Renaissance art history from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London where she wrote her dissertation on depictions of pipe organs in early Netherlandish panel painting.
As a collaborative keyboardist, Hannah has performed with many of the top ensembles in the area, including In Mulieribus, Portland Symphonic Choir, Cantores in Ecclesia, Resonance Ensemble, and Pacific Youth Choir. She has played harpsichord with the Wildwood Consort and studied continuo at the American Bach Soloists Academy and organ at the Oregon Bach Festival. Her main teachers have included Cherry Rhodes, James David Christie, Webb Wiggins, and Susan Marchant.
Hannah is also an adjunct instructor at the University of Portland, performs regularly with the Cascadia Chamber Ensemble, and sings with the liturgical choir Cantores in Ecclesia. She is currently Director of Music & Organist at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church in northeast Portland.
