Alumni & Parent Programs

My name is Emma Celebrezze and I am a current sophomore from Minnesota pursuing a degree in Religious Studies and History. This academic year I will be interning for Alumni & Parent Programs. My internship includes the planning and implementation of alumni events, coordination of a class reunion for Alumni Weekend 2018, as well as other varied office tasks. I’m thrilled to be working for Alumni & Parent Programs and can’t wait to get more involved in my college community.

 

 

 

 

 

Mark Figueroa, Jr.
Career Center - Marketing

Mark is the marketing intern for the Career Center and started working in September 2017. He is currently a Sophomore and plans on majoring in Rhetoric and Media Studies and minoring in Sociology and Music. Outside of work and the classroom, Mark enjoys being a DJ-ing and playing football for the football team as an outside linebacker. As the Career Center intern, Mark is in charge of marketing Career Center events and workshops to LC undergraduates.

Blakely Garrison
PE/A - Strength & Conditioning

My name is Blake Garrison and I am a Senior majoring in International Affairs. This year I am interning for the Strength & Conditioning program. The Strength & Conditioning program prides itself in enhancing an athlete’s performance in their perspective sport. As an intern for the Strength & Conditioning program, I will be assisting coach Angela Dendas-Pleasant in improving Lewis & Clark’s student-athletes. I am using this opportunity as a chance to create a foundation as I pursue my passion for Strength & Conditioning.

Kassandra Kometani
PE/A - Student-Athlete Development

Hi! My name is Kassie Kometani and I am a junior majoring in Environmental Studies. I’m from the Big Island of Hawaii and a member of the Women’s Swim Team. For my internship, I will be assisting our Associate Athletic Director with tasks such as roster management, eligibility, compliance, and scheduling. I will also be able to involve my role as Secretary of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and provide additional administrative support from the Athletic Department.

Anna Lindberg
Student Leadership & Service

My name is Anna and I’m a senior English major. I am from Thousand Oaks, California. I work as the Student Life Intern in the Student Leadership & Service Office. I work alongside Harold, the director, as well as the other student staff members to connect students to meaningful service-learning opportunities in the Portland area, co-facilitate leadership workshops, create the weekly newsletter for the office, and run weekly all staff meetings. I work with SMART (Start Making a Reader Today), to coordinate Lewis & Clark volunteers to read at underserved Portland Public elementary schools once a week. I have a passion for service and have been working in the SLS office since my first year at L&C.

 

 

Anna Lyubinina
International Students & Scholars

I am a rising Junior pursuing a double major in Psychology and Mathematics/Computer Science with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Innovation. I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, but was raised in California, which makes me a Third Culture Kid! This year, I will be interning in the International Students & Scholars Office as their ISS/TCK intern, to help out in the office with administrative tasks and events as well as run the Third Culture Kids program at Lewis & Clark. Some of my responsibilities include updating and editing the TCK website, organizing the annual TCK Symposium in the spring, and leading board meetings for the TCK Club, where we plan biweekly events.

Dean of Students Office

I am the Dean of Students Intern. I run the Passport to Leadership program for the Dean of Students Office. The program has sessions to lead students and give them skills on how to become a better leader. I also do day to day work in the Dean of Students Office.

Career Center - On-campus Recruiting

I am one of the Student Life Interns for the Career Center and will be working with on-campus recruiting. Coming into my second year at Lewis & Clark, I am excited to take over this position and work with a variety of recruiters. I am working on majoring in International Affairs with a minor in Japanese. I like food, basketball, martial arts, camping, music, traveling, and general outdoorsy experiences.

Office of Inclusion & Multicultural Engagement

I am a senior psychology major from Southern California. In my internship, I will be promoting and facilitating events on campus centered around diversity and inclusion. Some of the events are the IME events I will be doing are the Wednesday R&Rs, Student of Color Speakeasies, Wokeshop’s, and the end of the year banquet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jantzen Shinimoto
PE/A - Athletic Communications

I am from Honolulu, Hawaii and I am on the Lewis & Clark football team. I am the president of Hawaii Club and love to play video games and watch sports. I am an intern for Ryan Goff in the Athletic Communications department and I will be focusing on the sports information side of athletics. This includes learning the set up and break down of sporting events, writing sport recaps, updating athlete biographies, learning the computer programs that are needed for sporting events, and also helping with other tasks that pop up during the year.

My name is Lizeth Vargas, I am a Latina. Born in Houston, Texas. I am a rising senior in Hispanic Studies and minoring in Latin America Studies. I am the Student Life Intern for Jason Feiner at Student Activities. Part of my intern duties are, I work with Student Organizations and update their purposes on a google document that is later reviewed by Jason and I.

 

 

 

Lauren Wood
PE/A - Sports Medicine

My name is Lauren and I am a senior, psychology major. I plan on attending law school in the future and I would love to work in sports law. In my internship I will be working closely with athletes to care for their athletic needs as well as instruct and prepare athletes for treatment. I am also in charge of making sure all game day necessities are set up and organized on the sidelines.
