Ella Coben ’15 and Jon Poley ’15 will give a brief review of developmental research on numerical estimation in children, as well as present the findings of a current study.

Dr. Ross Hatton, director of the Laboratory for Robotics and Applied Mechanics at OSU, speak on Robotics and applied mathematics.

Dr. Jeff Ovall, Maseeh Associate Professor of Mathematics at PSU, will discuss his work in numerically estimating solutions to PDEs.

The software, Mathematica, is used by many on campus. The new upgrade to Mathematica 10, will be explained by our rep from Wolfram, Paul Fish.
