Multivariable Calculus has been my favorite course because it challenged me to think about math visually.

What three words would you use to describe L&C?
What was your favorite class? How did it expand your knowledge?
I most enjoyed my very first math class here at Professor Iva Stavrov, Multivariable Calculus. While I enjoyed the mathematical content of the course, what made this course my favorite was the challenge to think about mathematics visually.
What made you want to come to Lewis & Clark?
In looking for a college, I knew that I preferred stay in the Pacific Northwest, that I wanted to run for my college, and that I wanted a fairly small school. I looked into and visited many schools that fit this criteria. It just so happened that the school I liked the most was the one just three miles from my house, Lewis & Clark.
How do you balance academics and athletics?
Being on the cross country and track teams, it is true that running takes up a lot of my time. But on the other hand, running can be used as a great way to clear my head and relieve myself of stress that has built up. I find that running can be used as a tool that provides a necessary break so that I am more efficient in the time I do have to do my academic work.
