What three words would you use to describe L&C?

Live, Laugh, Love

What made you want to come to Lewis & Clark?

The small class sizes and the ability to connect with professors were the main things that drew me to Lewis & Clark.

What have you been doing since graduation?

Since graduation, I have been in Hualien, Taiwan, as an English teaching assistant with Fulbright Taiwan. It was really delightful and I enjoyed biking everyday, eating fruit, and practicing my language skills with my students. Now I am back in the US and excited to reconnect with old friends.

How did Lewis & Clark prepare you for post-college life?

Lewis & Clark prepared me to be a resilient and creative problem solver.

What would you say is the most important thing you learned at Lewis & Clark?

Although it was not academic, I think that Lewis & Clark helped me be a good conversationalist and an even better listener.

Why did you major in Political Science?

I really enjoyed all of the political science classes I took.

If applicable, why did you minor in Middle East and North African Studies?

I had a really influential Arabic professor who encouraged me to pursue a Middle East and North African Studies Minor.

How do you stay connected to Lewis & Clark as an alum?

I have many friendships that have continued after graduation. I have also enjoyed getting coffee with professors from time to time.

How do you describe the liberal arts?

Fun, Flirty, Friendly.

What was your favorite class? How did it expand your knowledge?

I really enjoyed the Political Science Capstone Policy Analysis with Professor Seljan. It accumulated in three different projects: a research proposal, a systematic review, and a cost/benefit analysis. I got to present my systematic review at the Lewis & Clark Gender Studies Symposium. It was a marathon, not a sprint.

Where did you find your community on campus?

I really enjoyed all of the events put on by the IME office.
