Chelsea Nordby

Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement

The Alumni Gatehouse

Chelsea was born and raised in Albany, OR. She is a proud Oregon State University alum who double majored in sociology and philosophy. Chelsea studied abroad in Australia during her undergraduate years and went on to attend the University of Oxford where she graduated with distinction, earning her master of studies in Study of Religion. Chelsea has been an adjunct faculty at Linn-Benton Community College for over 10 years, teaching world religions courses in-person and online.

Chelsea began her administrative career in continuing education at the Benton Center in Corvallis. After relocating to Portland she began working as an assistant registrar and later as an alumni relations manager at the University of Western States. In the fall of 2022, Chelsea began working for Lewis & Clark College.

“Lewis & Clark College is clearly a very special place and it is a privilege to be involved in this community. I believe strongly in the value of a liberal arts education and in international study abroad programs. I enjoy working in alumni and parent engagement because it is an honor to connect with and support LC alums and families as they engage with the college and our next generation of students.”

Chelsea is a lifelong learner who lives in north Portland with her daughter Heron (4) and her cat Clyde. Chelsea likes to dance, listen to books, drink green tea, walk in nature, be near the water and travel the world.
