As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold worldwide, we are working tirelessly to continue to support our students, staff, and faculty. Our top priorities are the health and well-being of our community, and continuing the education we are here to provide. To those ends:
● All three campuses have transitioned to delivering their curricula online.
● Lewis & Clark is now urging all residential students to return home if at all possible. Students who need to remain on campus will be provided with housing, food, and all our support during this difficult time.
● All campus events are canceled, and no new events will be scheduled or held during the Spring 2020 semester. All athletic competitions have been canceled. And college-sponsored travel by students, faculty or staff for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester is prohibited. If you have registered for an alumni event, we have been or will be in communication with you directly. We will continue to monitor the situation and make a decision about Alumni Weekend in the coming weeks.
This is a challenging time, but what continues to inspire us is the outpouring of support from alumni, parents, students, friends, faculty, and staff to help in any way they can. Seeing a community in action makes me proud.
Here’s where you can help.
As part of our efforts, we are launching a Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency Response Fund. This fund provides support for current students, and helps with Lewis & Clark’s unexpected costs in these unprecedented circumstances. One of our amazing trustees has already seeded this fund with generous support. Gifts of all sizes are welcome and create the positive impact that is crucial in this challenging time. Donations can be made online here.
Now more than ever, the Pioneer community needs all alumni, parents, students, friends, faculty, and staff to join together as one.
If you have any other questions about how best to help students, please feel free to reach out to email@example.com. In the meantime, you can also find the most up-to-date information at Lewis & Clark’s COVID-19 Response FAQ.
This is a trying time for all of us, and also a galvanizing one. Thank you for extending the utmost patience and humanity to each other and others in need. We have an amazing community and an unprecedented opportunity to demonstrate that.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
