Mikah Bertelmann, from Kailua, Hawaii, graduated from Lewis & Clark in 2021 with a degree in International Affairs and a minor in Political Economy. While at LC, Mikah was actively involved in the Associated Students of Lewis & Clark, and served as the Student Body President during his senior year. He also led New Student Orientation groups each year, worked at the campus bookstore, and at the Office of Student Engagement. In his senior year, he was selected as a 2021 Charles B. Rangel Fellow which promotes diversity and inclusion in the Foreign Service; the first fellow to be selected from Lewis & Clark in more than a decade.
Mikah just completed his first year at the UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy where he is working to complete a 2-year Master of Public Policy before joining the U.S. Foreign Service as a Foreign Service Officer. He is currently interning with the U.S. Embassy in Budapest, Hungary as part of his Rangel Graduate Fellowship program.
Alumni is located in Alumni Gatehouse on the Undergraduate Campus.
