Real Life

We want YOU to help tell the Lewis & Clark College story to prospective students. They’ve seen all of the official stuff on the L&C website, but it’s time to add a student perspective. We’d like to offer prospective students a window into daily life on campus — in the Bon, in the classroom, in downtown Portland, on the athletic fields, and more. You can see examples of what students blogged last year by clicking here.

Real Life Bloggers
Up to 7 students are hired yearly to create blogs about their experience at L&C through written entries, photos, and videos. Bloggers will be required to update their blogs each week, giving a regular sense of their college experience at L&C. Bloggers are also encouraged to plan and schedule Instagram takeovers on the Lewis & Clark College Instagram account.

In addition to submitting an application via Workday, please fill out this Google form: https://forms.gle/iq2rPkEcc16w8e4E9

If this is your first time applying for a job on-campus, please visit the Student Employment page on our website before applying through Workday.

After completing the application, an initial decision will be made and applicants moving to the next round will be notified via e-mail with further instructions to schedule an interview with blog admins. If you are chosen to join the Real Life Blog team, you will be notified again via e-mail with information regarding blogger training.

Bloggers will be paid per blog with the expectation that one blog will be completed per-week. Read a complete description of blogger responsibilities here.
