Language Assistants jointly organize International Karaoke Night & Cookie Baking Event

On Thursday, November 17th, students filled the coop to sing and cheer for their peers in a night of Karaoke and language exchange.

This event has been a well loved staple, organized by the Language Assistants and Club Leaders for the second year in a row. Singing in a different language is one of students’ favorite ways of engaging in language learning. Students could opt to compete or sing casually - and the winners of our competition included Language Assistants Anita Yeh and Chiho Yamahara, who sung a song in both Chinese and Japanese!

To celebrate the end of the semester, the Language Assistants also came together for a cookie baking event. The turnout for this event was amazing, as students of different languages gathered to mingle in a cozy evening. It was a great way to make most of the cold weather, and celebrate the end of a semester of hard work.
