Online placement tests for French, German, Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese are offered through Moodle. For more information about the placement test and who needs to take it, please see the World Language Placement Test page.
Proctored Placement Exams
Proctored tests are offered in the Interactive Learning Center in Miller 211. To make an appointment for a proctored exam during the Fall or Spring semester, email email@example.com. The test takes up to 1 hour (100 min for German, Japanese and Chinese), so please plan accordingly.
Placement into the second semester of the second year of a language (202) or the first semester of third year (301) satisfies the Lewis & Clark Foreign Language requirement. However, you cannot completely satisfy the graduation requirement on the basis of the online placement test alone.
For more information about the placement test and who needs to take it, please see the World Language Placement Test page.
Suspected violations of academic integrity on the online test will be submitted to the College Honor Board.
