Science Illustrator Lecture by Nicolle Rager Fuller, Class of ‘99
Friday, April 13th, 3:30 p.m., J.R. Howard Hall Classroom 115 Are you interested in art, graphic/digital design, and/or biology? Come hear Nicolle Rager Fuller ‘99, a Biochem alumna, speak about her path to finding a professional niche in science illustration, combining her dual interest of art and science. Nicolle is an artist for the National Science Foundation, an illustrator for the “Graphic Adaptation of Darwin’s Origin of Species” and owner of Sayo-Art LLC. Her lecture will be followed by a Q&A session where students and faculty will have time to ask questions and get advice about incorporating a liberal-arts education into a career in art and design.
2D and 3D Digital Design Workshop by Nicolle Rager Fuller, Class of ‘99
Saturday, April 14th, 10:30am-12:30pm and 1:30pm-3:30pm, Dubach Mac Lab Are you interested in art, graphic/digital design, and/or biology? Nicolle Rager Fuller ‘99, a Biochem alumna, is teaching a two-part workshop where students will have the unique opportunity to learn about professional opportunities in digital art and specific techniques on using 2D and 3D software.
The first session will be held from 10:30am to 12:30pm and will focus on 2D Digital Art and utilizing Photoshop for Painting.
The second session will be held at 1:30pm to 3:30pm and will focus on 3D Digital Art and utilizing software such as Maya, Cinema 4D, Modo, Zbrush, Mudbox and Vue. Do not miss out on this wonderful opportunity to learn these vital skills if you are interested in pursuing a career in art, digital design, illustration, etc.
There will be a limited amount of spots available so register as soon as possible. Feel free to register for one or both sessions.
International and TCK Student-Alumni Panel & Reception
Wednesday, April 11th, 5 p.m., Smith Hall
Are wondering how a multicultural, multilingual, or international background can impact life after Lewis & Clark? International and TCK alumni are coming to campus to tell you about their trajectory from LC, and share advice. A reception will follow the panel.
Spring Into Action Community Service Day
Saturday, April 21st, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Various Locations on and off campus Spring Into Action is an annual event that brings the Lewis & Clark community together for a day of service. Join students, alumni faculty, staff, and parents from all three L&C schools for a day of service in Portland and on campus. During this day, L&C community members will engage in service projects, building a stronger sense of community and institutional pride. Our goal is to get 300 community members to participate!

Members of the Student Alumni Association are also invited to attend other Alumni events like the Young Alumni Happy Hour in January, regional events during winter and spring breaks, and Portland Alumni Events that feature presentations by faculty and a reception. Events change from year to year and typically cost $10. For members of the SAA, that fee is waived.
