Preparation for the Health Professions
“At Lewis & Clark I developed a true understanding of mentorship. My professors helped me see the excitement in lifelong learning and the value of academics, teaching, and research—essential components of my career today.” —Dr. William Heegaard ’84, Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School and Assistant Chief of Emergency Medicine
Lewis & Clark successfully prepares students for admission to professional schools of their choice in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, physical therapy, nursing, and other related health fields. The success rate of our graduates applying to these schools is very competitive. Health care professional schools want students with a strong background in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Lewis & Clark’s strong science programs provide that background.
This website is a starting point for information on preparation for a variety of health professions. Below you’ll find information on required course prerequisites, application procedures, required examinations, planning your undergraduate curriculum, and additional resources.
