What Our Travelers Have to Say
Our trips seek to build greater connections among the Lewis & Clark community. We look forward to providing travel experiences that are enriching and engaging.
“The trip was well thought out, the educational components were fabulous, and the logistical pieces appeared to come together seamlessly. I could not have planned such a great experience on my own!”– Alene Jacobs, MA ’00
“It was such a nice way to travel. Adding the cultural, historical and biological aspects just added to an amazing trip.”– Scott Moody P’22
“So much fun connecting with other LC alumni from other generations. My first real alumni event…glad I went!”– Jauna Williams ’03
“Everything was top notch. We thought the idea of group travel with a group connected by the common thread of Lewis & Clark worked very well and we would definitely go on another L&C trip.”– Katie and Gary ’85 Korotzer
“As a veteran of two L&C trips, I know they are really well done and a perfect combination of fun and learning.”– Lee Zellweger P’20
“Educational, intimate, focused, well run. One of the best group trips I’ve taken and I’ve done at least 20.”– Iris Karow ’62
“Seeing the animals in their natural environment were spectacular! Equally impressive was the collection of experiences illustrating how people are working to support each other - a window into Tanzania’s social/cultural/land use environment today was very impressive!”– Anne Price ’72
“The whole trip was like a high adventure dream! I kept reminding myself we really were having these extremely unique experiences, surrounded by people who care so much for Tanzania and for us too!”– Tammy Walker, L&C Friend
Would I recommend Pioneer Travel to others? “Absolutely! The coordination, sights, events, lodging, food, and transportation were outstanding.”– Judy Mueller ’78
“It was extraordinary and life-changing.”– Frank and Jeannie ’78 Verderame
“This was my second Pioneer Travel trip and not my last I hope. Having an L&C professor on board is exceptional.”– Georgeanna Freeman ’88
“I gave the trip an A+. I rarely do group tours but this one was well planned, and I definitely got more out of it with the geology education and planned activities than I would have on a self-guided tour.”– Mollie Carter, P’20
“Both of my trips have been wonderful experiences. The cultural focus and the presence of excellent faculty members greatly enriched the tours.”– Tom Barrett ’74
