Welcome Back Students!

Welcome to the Spring 2024 semester! Here are a few things that are on my mind as we get the semester started.

Dear Students,

Welcome to the Spring 2024 semester! I hope you, like me, are rested from the break and that we are all ready to lift each other up and make the most of the coming weeks.

Here are a few things that are on my mind as we get the semester started. First, our mascot survey launches on January 17—TOMORROW! Watch your inbox for a chance to share your thoughts on being represented as a Pioneer. Second, you may be wondering what those posts are that you see on Pacman lawn as you stroll by. This new designated area will be home for hammocks and slacklining. It is not yet open for use, but we’ll let you know when it is completed. Thank you for reviewing and adhering to our Recreational Activities Policy found here. Lastly, we are excited this Spring term to bring you the Peer Collective program again, a series of workshops that cover leadership and wellness topics. Stay tuned for dates and more information. You don’t want to miss out on these great skills development opportunities!

We have so much great stuff in store for the next few months, culminating in commencement for our graduating class! For now, enjoy getting settled back into your routine, seeing your friends, and starting your new classes. Stay healthy, stay positive, and lean on your friends, professors, and mentors for help when you need it. My office, including other resources found here, are great paths for information and support, so don’t hesitate to reach out or ask a question.

Have a happy, healthy, and energized Spring term!
