Bio
My name is Misha and I was born in Moscow, Russia. I believe that overcoming the barrier of government deception made me capable of critical thinking and value knowledge. I am thankful for being born there since no other place would make me the person I am today. When I was 16 years old, I moved to the Netherlands to study at an international boarding school, United World College Maastricht. Studying there, I not only got to continue my education abroad but also met people from over 100 countries. I believe that a good education should be interdisciplinary. That made me pursue a liberal arts education. After enrolling into Lewis and Clark, I began to see myself as somebody who is capable of adequately comprehending Russian-American relations. I try my best to inform people of both sides. My experiences from living in the US have enabled me to alter how Russians perceive Americans; conversely, challenge the Russian stereotype in the U.S. I am currently a Studio Art major with a focus in 3D media and film. The intention of my artwork and creations is to spark meaningful conversations that catalyze change. In the future, I aspire to continue creating art and collaborating with others to cultivate knowledge, discussions, and change.
