Bio
I am a first-generation college student from Hillsboro Oregon. My parents are first generation immigrants from Oaxaca, Mexico. My parents background and the underrepresentation of Latinas in education push me to pursue higher education. I am majoring in Hispanic Studies and Sociology and anthropology. Even though I don’t know what profession I want to pursue, I know that I want to give back to my gente latina by being a leader in my Lewis and Clark community. At Lewis and Clark, I am a leader in Inclusion and multicultural (IME), Great Expectations mentorship program, Gente Latina Unida (GLU), and race monologues to foster a safe and empowering space for BIPOC students. During my free time you can find me watching Korean dramas.
