Arabic Club Cooking Class & Dinner Extravaganza!
Our dear Saudi friend and Academic English Studies student Hammam led a lovely and highly successful cooking class & dinner extravaganza where we made Saudi kabsa (spiced rice with chicken), macaroni bechamel (Saudi-style), hummus, tabbouleh, and warbat bil ashta (a Jordanian dessert, sort of like baklava with cream inside). Arabic mascot (pooch) Akboob was in attendance, and students listened to classical Arabic hits (especially Umm Kulthum) and played Arabic Scrabble.
