Kay Kole Leary BS ’76, MEd ’77 retired in 2018 after a teaching career that focused on deaf and hard-of-hearing students. She enjoys gardening, crafts, travel, and family. Leary reports seeing a volcano up close in Iceland in summer 2021, and she recently toured Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.

Kay Kole Leary BS ’76, MEd ’77 married Douglas Leary BA ’76 in 1989, after connecting at a class reunion. They spent the first six months of their marriage on a 35-state tour of the United States in a VW camper van. They have two daughters. Kay is an avid gardener.
