Templeton Campus Center

This training is TENTATIVELY scheduled:
We expect to know by late November, 2020, if we are able to offer this course in January 2021. Obviously, it will depend on the COVID-19 situation.

If the course is approved, it may still be cancelled if the COVID-19 situation changes. If you are making travel arrangements, please plan a flexible itinerary.

Wilderness First Responder (WFR) training is the hands-on medical course that is the industry standard for backcountry rangers, river guides, outdoor guides, as well as NOLS and Outward Bound instructors. The course includes engaging classroom sessions and outdoor scenarios taught by medical professionals from the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).

All College Outdoors Trip Leaders and Assistant Leaders are required to be WFR certified in order to lead off-campus trips.
