The Lewis & Clark Pioneers will once again welcome Pios fans to campus for an event in conjunction with the 33rd National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
On Sunday, February 10, 2019, Lewis & Clark will host a free morning sports clinic for girls ages 7-12 where participants will interact with Pioneers student-athletes and coaches and learn new skills in softball, track and field, soccer, volleyball and basketball.
Lewis & Clark’s head strength and conditioning coach Angela Dendas will also coach a strength and conditioning session.
Check-in begins at 8:30am with the camps running from 9:30am to 12:15pm.
National Girls and Women in Sports Day began in 1987 as a single event in Washington, D.C., to honor Olympic volleyball star Flo Hyman. Since then, the day has grown into a nationwide celebration across all 50 states. The day can always be attributed back to the work Hyman did as an athlete and for her work to assure equality for women’s sports.
