Climate and Renewable Energy Leadership and Action at L&C

The Lewis & Clark community, in particular, undergraduate students, have consistently demonstrated leadership on climate issues. From signing the Kyoto Protocol to the President’s Climate Commitment to the Renewable Energy Fee, as a community we have been steadfast in this commitment. This session will explore:

  • History of climate action and student leadership at LC
  • Opportunities to engage including:
    • Undergrad and Law School courses on the topic
    • Renewable Energy Fee Fund – how to apply for grants and example projects
    • Green Energy Institute work (Law School)
    • Local organizations/partners
    • State and national level efforts/opportunities
    • Career paths as well as alumni profiles
