Elliot Kuhlman presents his senior double bass recital, “Hello Flop Hat,” featuring an eclectic collection of solo bass and chamber works on April 20 at 7:30 pm in the Agnes Flanagan Chapel. This event is free, open to the public, and a reception will follow in the Gregg Pavilion. The recital will consist of works written from 1720 to 2014 including: Koussevitsky’s Double Bass Concerto in F# minor Betty Roe’s “Cat and Mouse” Song Cycle for Soprano and Solo Bass Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile’s “Ham and Cheese” Selected Works by Max’s Midnight Kitchen Radiohead’s “Life in a Glass House” (arranged for chamber ensemble) Eccles Sonata in G minor (arranged for Classical Guitar and Solo Bass) Bottesini’s Gran Duo (version for two basses featuring Oregon Symphony bassist, Jason Schooler)
