Twenty outstanding Mathematical Sciences students were inducted into the national mathematics honor society, Pi Mu Epsilon. This was the 6th annual induction ceremony of Lewis & Clark College’s  Oregon Eta Chapter.

Pi Mu Epsilon is dedicated to the promotion of mathematics and recognition of students who successfully pursue mathematical understanding. To promote mathematics, the National Pi Mu Epsilon Council sponsors an annual conference in conjunction with the Mathematics Association of America’s (MAA), the annual MathFest.

Professor Emeritus Roger Nelsen gave an inspiring mathematical talk, and was also inducted into the honor society.
