All Lewis & Clark students, faculty, staff and community are invited to attend The Art & Science of Indian Classical Music, a free lecture/demonstration/performance offered by the College’s new Indian Classical Music faculty, Michael Stirling (vocalist), Rik Masterson (tabla) and Josh Feinberg (Sitar).
On Tuesday, October 18th from 7-9pm, in the Diane Gregg Memorial Pavilion(immediately next door to the Agnes Flanagan Chapel) on the Lewis & Clark College Campus, students and all others interested in learning more about the vibrant art of Indian Classical Music are invited to attend a FREE lecture / demonstration and performance by the three gifted instructors who have joined the Lewis & Clark College Music Department this year to build this extraordinary study program.
Vocalist Michael Stirling, Tabla player Rik Masterson and Sitarist, Josh Feinberg will provide an informative and musically compelling introduction to this extraordinary musical form.
The artists will inform participants and listeners about Indian Classical Music and give performances demonstrating the broad range of artistic expression available.
