What three words would you use to describe L&C?
What’s your favorite class? Why?
My favorite class is Intro to Sociology; Professor JaDee Carathers encourages me to think beyond the status quo and re-examine social structures and human interactions.
What made you want to come to Lewis & Clark?
I chose L&C because I was offered a full-ride academic scholarship. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I remembered hearing that L&C had a great International Affairs program.
What do you like or find most interesting about your major?
What I find most interesting in International Affairs is the recurrence of global issues, and believe that our generation can provide answers to those conflicts.
What do you like or find most interesting about your minor?
I am minoring in political economics and intend to understand and prove that economics and politics go hand in hand together.
Tell us about your support systems and social outlets on campus: people, activities, clubs, res halls, etc. -
- Track and Field: I’ve been on the women’s throwing team for 3 semesters now and I can attest that the LC track department is like a family. We encourage one another and always strive for improvement.
- Cheer and Step: My team is like a sisterhood. I love seeing the improvements after each practice, cheering, and showing school spirit. Whether a halftime performance or sideline cheer we assure to show our appreciation for our athletes. I’m excited to be the co-captain and see what the future holds for us.
- Afrikan Diaspora Club: The Afrikan Diaspora Club provides a learning experience through the engagement of different African cultures. It’s fun and informative. My favorite part of being on the leadership team is using my planning skills for our events and networking.
