New Student Move In 

August 22 and 23                    August 24, 25, and 26 

 

New Student Weekend Move In (August 22–23) 

Time Event Description Location
8 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Check In at Campus Safety  You have been assigned a move-in time between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Please arrive for check in at the Campus Safety office at your residence hall at your assigned time. If you are unsure of your move-in time, please email nso@lclark.edu Campus Safety Office, Gate 3

Opens 8 a.m.
Create Your Student ID Card Have your photo taken for your ID card at the Campus Safety office. Line up on the 6-foot distance markers. Campus Safety Office, Gate 3
Collect Your Pre-Ordered Textbooks

Pick up your pre-ordered textbooks, supplies, and LC gear during your reserved time between August 22 and August 26. Reserve in-store purchases for exchanges or emergencies.

10:30–11:30 a.m.
Reserved for students from the 8 a.m. move-in time

12:30–1:30 p.m.
Reserved for students from the 10:30 a.m. move-in time

3–4:00 p.m.
Reserved for students from the 1 p.m. move-in time

5:30–6:30 p.m.
Reserved for students from the 3:30 p.m. move-in time

Please note: if you shipped boxes to the college and you have a weekend move-in time, you can collect your boxes from August 24–26 between 8 and 9 a.m.

Read the Common Reading

This year’s common reading is “A Map of Lost Things” by Jamila Osman. You will discuss this essay in your NSO groups during orientation. Discussion will be led by a staff or faculty member.

Complete Your Everfi Wellness Course The Everfi Wellness course will help you navigate potentially risky situations that might arise in the course of your time with us, and will provide you with tips on how you can better take care of yourself, establish healthy relationships, and support others who may need help. This is a mandatory program for all first-year and transfer students. Link has been sent to your @lclark email inbox.
Register for Engage for Racial Justice This event will happen on Saturday, August 29th and is mandatory for all new students. Please RSVP.  Click here to RSVP for Engage in Racial Justice with RaceTalks.

Meal wrist bands are included in your move-in packet. Please wear this band to all meals.

For those who moved in before 1 p.m., we welcome you and your guest to a goodbye brunch. Guest meal tickets are also included in your move-in packet. 

If you came without a guest, we invite you to eat lunch with fellow new students and NSO leaders. Please meet up at the Templeton Pio Express stop.

For those who moved in after 3:30 p.m., we welcome you and your guest to a goodbye picnic dinner. Guest meal tickets are also included in your move-in packet.

If you came without a guest, we invite you to eat dinner with fellow new students and NSO leaders. Please meet up at the Templeton Pio Express stop.

Collect Your Pre-Shipped Boxes

If you sent boxes to the college before move-in, please collect them during your reserved window. NSO leaders will be in the parking lot to assist you with box collection and moving boxes to your residence hall room. If you came in a vehicle, you can drive to the lower lot to collect the boxes for easier delivery to residence halls. 

8–9 a.m. 
Reserved for students who moved in on or before August 23

Language Exams

Students who have not taken their language placement exam or those who need to confirm their Spanish 202+ placement exam scores can do so during NSO move-in on:

August 24–26
10 a.m.–3p.m.

August 28
9 a.m.–3 p.m.

Exams begin on the hour until 2 p.m.

If you are looking to get some fresh air, stretch your legs, or meet some NSO leaders, head to the Glade at 2:30. We will be playing some name games and icebreakers.

Settlers of Catan Meetup with Henry Van Vuuren, Events A/V Coordinator

Come join us for a friendly Settlers of Catan meetup - no experience necessary. We’ll get to know one another and get some games going. Prior to joining us, please check out Catan Universe and set up your free profile ahead of time.
