New Student Orientation

Wednesday, August 26, 2015

Thank you for your interest in helping with Move In Day! At college campuses across the country, faculty, staff, and student volunteers are helping move in new students while providing meaningful interactions.  Now you have a chance to connect to new students and their families at Lewis & Clark in a very tangible way.

Since this is the first day of New Student Orientation, we know that you will carefully consider your decision to participate while taking into account the needs and staffing of your particular office or area.  NOTE: If you are a non-exempt employee, you must obtain approval from your direct supervisor before completing the response form.  Supervisor approval signifies you will be paid your normal wage during your hour of service.

To sign up to volunteer, please complete the information below.

NSO and Campus Living will provide a brief orientation to prepare you for the move-in day process and expectations. The training will be held on August 20 at 3:30 p.m. If you are unable to attend, please come by Campus Living after the 20th to pick up your t-shirt and information sheet.
All move-in volunteers who register before August 3rd will receive a FREE "CARE Crew" t-shirt. T-shirt sizes are unisex. The design will be the same as last year's, so if you still have one in wearable condition, let us know!
Move-in volunteers are asked to help for one hour. Please rank your preferered shift times. If you want to volunteer multiple shifts or are flexible in your times, please note that at the bottom of the page. *Student athletes will be assisting during the 9-11 time frame, but if that is your only available time slot, we'd be glad to have you. Again, just note it below.
If yes, please indicate how many shifts in the "Other" box below.
Please note anything else you would like to share with us about your preferences and availability.
