Meet us by the Pio Express stop in front of Templeton/Fields Dining Room at 8:00am to board the buses. 

 

Check in at Canby Grove and Welcome
Get settled into your room at Canby Grove Riverfront Lodge and get excited for welcoming remarks.

 

IME Wokeshop: Your Values & Leadership
Facilitated by Angela Buck, Director of Inclusion & Multicultural Engagement and Dominique Gardner, Assistant Director for IME and ISS
This interactive workshop will guide you through a reflection on your history, your family values, and how they relate to your leadership skills today and in the future. 

 

Resilience & Growth Mindset 
Facilitated by Dr. Mark Figueroa, Associate Vice President of Institutional Research & Planning
This talk will motivate you to work through challenges you may face in college and how to overcome them.

First Year Keys to Success
Facilitated by Katie McFaddin, Assistant Dean of Student Success and Retention and Krystle Perkins, College Advisor
Hear from your College Advising Center advisors about the keys to academic success, how to maximize your first year of college, and set yourself up for graduation and beyond!

 

First Year Tips & Tricks
Facilitated by your GE Mentors
Listen to stories and tips from your GE mentors about how to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally in your first year at Lewis & Clark. 

 

Faculty “TED Talks”
Facilitated by the participating L&C Faculty 
Faculty members will deliver TED-style talks on an academic passion area and talk to students in small groups. 

 

IME R&R Break and Free Time
Facilitated by Marissa Marquez ’19, IME Intern
Enjoy a stress-relieving activity lead by current senior Marissa Marquez, or enjoy downtime to yourself.

Bonding Activities
Facilitated by IME Staff members
Get to know your fellow GE participants and mentors with a little bit of fun, laughter, and reflection.
