COVID-19 Event Guidelines
Student Engagement Event & Programming Guidelines
UPDATE AS OF FEBRUARY 24, 2022: In-person events and programming may proceed as usual again as well as food events. Student organizations do not need to request special permission.
In-person events and programming initiated by individual students or student organizations (including club sports) that include more than 25 people indoors after Monday, February 7th, will require the approval of the Office of Student Engagement. Events that are less than 25 people OR outdoors are permitted to occur without requesting prior approval.
Food may only be offered as “grab and go” at the end of ALL events.
All requests for in-person events need to include a safety plan that considers:
- activity setting
- physical distance of participants
- audience size and composition
- intensity of the activity
- duration of the activity
- plans for mask and vaccine policy compliance
- how program requirements will be communicated to participants.
It is STRONGLY recommended that students consult virtually with the Office of Student Engagement prior to submitting requests for review. For questions, please email the office directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
