Faculty Partner Responsibilities
  • Attend a half-day training workshop with your student partner the semester before your partnership begins.
  • Check in with your student partner via email (or in person) before classes begin (in order to share syllabus and to schedule weekly meetings & observations).
  • Meet 3 or 4 times (total) during the semester with the TEP Director and the other faculty partners.
  • Meet for approximately 45 minutes each week one-on-one with your student partner.
  • Review and approve student partner’s time sheet in workday.
Student Partner Responsibilities
  • Attend a half-day training workshop with their faculty partner the semester before the partnership begins.
  • Check in with faculty partner via email (or in person) before classes begin (in order to get syllabus and to schedule weekly meetings & observations).
  • Meet for one hour each week during the semester with the TEP Director and Program Coordinator along with the other student partners for mentoring and support.
  • Attend an average of one class session per week beginning in the first or second week of the term and continuing throughout the semester.
  • Spend 2 to 3 hours each week writing up notes about that week’s observation in preparation for your one-on-one meeting with your faculty partner.
  • Meet for approximately 45 minutes each week one-on-one with your faculty partner.
  • Students can expect to earn an average of $80/week.
