Program Information
How do neurons within the brain communicate chemically? How do individuals communicate verbally? How does the brain learn? These are just some of the many complex questions explored by the field of neuroscience. At Lewis & Clark, students and faculty in neuroscience draw on many fields, including biology, chemistry, computer science, foreign languages, philosophy, physics, and psychology, and others.
Students have the opportunity to explore the fast-growing field of neuroscience in a structured, challenging, and satisfying way. Our minor in neuroscience provides an in-depth investigation of nervous system function while allowing students to pursue a major in another discipline. Completion of the minor will give students a strong background to prepare them for graduate or other professional programs.
Neuroscience is located in BoDine on the Undergraduate Campus.
