We will screen the short, compelling documentary “Natour’s Grocery” (about a Palestinian-American family in Virginia and their corner store) and have a discussion with an expert on Arabic/Islamic popular media, Prof. Tarik Elseewi of Whitman College, who will join via Zoom. There Will Be Snacks!

We will gather for an informal, catered Lebanese buffet dinner and watch one or two episodes of the awesome Jordanian television series “Jinn,” about a group of resourceful teenagers who must save the world from malevolent supernatural forces. In Arabic with English subtitles.
