Spring 2019: Engagement Opportunities

For spring 2019, ENVX Symposium continues its theme of engagement across difference introduced in fall via Daryl Davis and Klan We Talk? with a series of events focusing on the multiple dimensions of, and perspectives on, homelessness in Portland. 

These events are open to students and other members of the Lewis & Clark community.


Homeless Engagement
Saturday, March 9, 9 am - 4 pm. To read more and register go to the event pageRegistration is required and space is limited to 20 students.  The event will start in the Thayer Room in Templeton Campus Center.  

Workshop on Communication
Robin Teater from Healthy Democracy will conduct a workshop on how to communicate with people who hold opinions different from your own on Tuesday, March 12, 5-7 pm.  This event will be held in Miller 104.

How do I engage across difference? Conversations about homelessness
This event will be part of the Hot Topics series organized by the LC Sustainability Council in collaboration with ENVS and will be held on April 2, 5-7 pm.  This event will be held in the Thayer Room in Templeton Campus Center.
