Advisory Board
Lewis & Clark delivers outstanding Liberal Arts training in critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. To that essential foundation, the Bates Center for Entrepreneurship and Leadership adds Skill Sets, Mindset, Experiential Opportunities and Networking. Students, regardless of background, graduate with a combination of skills, experience and a network that provides them the courage and context to execute as changemakers.
Because the Center receives no funding from the College, its Advisory Board supplements the Center’s independent endowment and plays an absolutely essential role in the Center’s existence. Accordingly, every member of the Advisory Board provides a minimum of $10,000/year to support the Center’s new entrepreneurship minor. In addition to valuable financial contributions, Advisory Board members consult on what employers are seeking, the future of work, and market trends. They also support students through networking, internships, and advising students on their ventures. This partnership is working. The entrepreneurship minor is the most popular minor in the College and data show it is attracting a significant number of students to apply to Lewis & Clark.
