Students can become involved with the Office of Health Promotion and Wellness in many different ways. Below are just a few! 

  • Involved in the Health Studies Minor? Completed the internship requirement on-campus through the Health Promotion & Wellness Office. Check out previous peer education projects below!
  • Sign up for the Healthy Hits Newsletter - a biweekly student-run newsletter that provides health-related information and resources and answers students’ questions.
    • Have you got a question for the Healthy Hits Newsletter? Submit your anonymous questions here! 
  • Have an idea for a topic, workshop, or other educational program? Feel free to reach out to Michelle directly at mcallahan@lclark.edu.
  • Particularly interested in Sexual Health, Consent, or Violence Prevention? Consider working with us as a Sexual Health and Consent Facilitator and present at New Student Orientation!

Previous Peer Education Projects

Joyful Movement for College Students - a website designed to answer the question, “How can students get moving with limited time and resources?” It focuses on walking, stretching, and body weight exercise, divided by time (5, 10, and 30 minutes).

Stress Management During Finals - a student coordinated “Destress Fest” for Dec 6 - Dec 14, 2023. Helped with the logistics of crowd-sourcing student and staff groups that wanted to put on stress-relieving events for students all week while creating marketing and educational materials.
