Ryan Lockard

Ryan Lockard is an Oregon native, growing up in the small rural town of Creswell, Oregon. During his football recruiting trip, he immediately fell in love with the beautiful campus and the small community feel of Lewis & Clark. Ryan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/Anthropology in 2007 and was a four year letterman for the Pioneer football team.

Following graduation Ryan had the opportunity to play football professionally overseas in France, Denmark, and Poland. He also served as an assistant defensive coach for the Pioneers for seven years, which led the team to one of the best records in program history in 2011.

In 2012 he founded Specialty Athletic Training, a personal training company that specializes in fitness programs exclusively for children and adults with special needs. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified Special Populations Specialist (CSPS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. His company Specialty Athletic Training has now served over 400 different individuals throughout the Pacific Northwest. Ryan currently serves on the board of directors for the Autism Society of America and the Central Oregon Disability Support Network.

Ryan and his wife, Mary, reside in West Linn, OR with their son Rory.
