Marisol Jenkins

Class of 2015
Oakland, California

Marisol Jenkins grew up in San Diego, CA and immediately fell in love with Oregon’s lush, green trees and Lewis & Clark’s beautiful campus. Marisol graduated in 2015 and earned her degree in Psychology with a minor in Rhetoric & Media studies.

Marisol was a very active student and spent much of her time involved with campus activities. She enjoyed planning student events with the Campus Activities Board. Co-led the Race Monologues as part of the Ray Warren Symposium. Played the flute in pep band at football and basketball games. Volunteered in New Orleans and Guatemala for Spring break trips. Participated in the Entrepreneurship Winterim. Co-produced For Colored Girls stage performance, amongst many other volunteer and leadership projects.

In addition, Marisol worked in the Office of Conferences and Events, which sparked her passion for creating experiences and events for people to learn, connect and uplift each other. She absolutely loved her time working at the College and was there for nearly six years. She planned hundreds of College events annually, while managing the sales and production of external client events. In 2017, she decided to move back to California and continue her work in event marketing with tech companies in the Bay Area.

When not planning an event, Marisol spends her free time volunteering in the community. She’s a member of the Junior League of Oakland - a women’s volunteerism nonprofit - and is currently working on a committee to support diversity, equity and inclusion within the league. When she’s not volunteering, Marisol enjoys connecting with her friends through hiking, tennis, knitting, cooking, book clubs, and entertainment.
