Lane C Hi there! I’m Lane Chipman, I use she/her pronouns, and I’m originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. My favorite things include running around Tryon park, obsessively quoting movies, and teaching my friends to crochet! I’m currently debating between majoring in Political Science and International Affairs. You can always find me by the reflection pool on sunny days, or taking the pio bus downtown for a late-night food truck run

Eliana Essman

Howdy y’all! My name is Eliana Essman. I use she/they pronouns and I am an International Affairs major and Religious Studies minor! I am on the steering committee for the International Affairs Symposium and am a member of Hillel, a Jewish organization on campus. My favorite spot on campus is the gazebos by the reflecting pool because the people watching is amazing! My favorite place in Portland is Tea Chai Té in Sellwood because the vibes are great for hanging out with friends or studying and I think it’s super fun to order a pot of tea!

Emma Ford Emma Ford (she/her) is an International Affairs major with a Middle Eastern/North African Studies minor. She is from Sunnyvale, CA. The best class she has taken here is Arabic-102, “I’ve loved the challenge of a new language, and my fellow students and the professor make class the best place to learn.” On campus you can find her “Going to used bookstores and going out to dinner with friends.” Emma chose Lewis and Clark because she wanted a place that would welcome her.

Aliya M My name is Aliya Markowitz (she/her) and I am a current Sophomore studying sociology/ anthropology and hispanic studies. I am really involved in Hillel- one of our Jewish Organizations on campus. I love finding sunny places on campus to set up my hammock and read a good book or just listen to music and soak up the sun. My favorite place in Portland is the Arboretum, specifically the magnolia grove! If I’m not on campus you might find me learning to skate at Gabriel or getting boba tea in Sellwood.

Kellen Rice My name is Kellen Rice (she/they). I am from Ashland, Oregon, and I am majoring in philosophy. I am involved in the rock climbing team, the poetry club, and the drag collective. My favorite place in Portland is SE Hawthorne Boulevard, which has some of the best thrifting and food in the city. My best memory at Lewis and Clark is when I performed in my very first drag show.
