Although she significantly contributed to the Lewis and Clark exploration, she received nothing when the expedition concluded. Memorial sculpture of Sacagawea on campus is titled ‘Sacagawea and Jean Baptiste’ created by artist Glenna Goodacre. It is intended to acknowledge and respect her life and influence.
