With the growing importance of higher education, college affordability has become a mounting national issue that greatly impacts current students, their families, and their community. On top of the increasing costs of higher education, life happens. We do not believe that unforeseeable financial setbacks should determine the future of a student’s attendance at Lewis & Clark. In light of this, the Associated Students of Lewis & Clark established Pioneers for Pioneers, a student-led effort that seeks to complement existing financial assistance to help when life happens. In the 2018-2019 academic year, nearly 500 gifts were been made by more than 450 students, parents, alumni, and friends of the college donating more than $20,000!
Since its conception in 2014, more than $15,000 has been awarded to help make a continued college education possible.

The work of the Task Force shall be centered around the values of health and safety, equity and inclusion, and transparency.
