Bio

My name is Jacob Muscarella and I’m a Political Science major from Loveland, Colorado. I grew up thinking I was going to study biology and neuroscience, but my interests shifted as I finished high school and I’ve since fallen in love with studying American political behavior, public opinion, and presidential politics. Lewis & Clark has provided me with so many wonderful opportunities to explore my interests and develop great relationships with my professors. Outside of classes, I have been able to represent the student body through ASLC as a senator, the chief justice, and most recently as the student body vice president. I have also enjoyed working as a section editor for Lewis & Clark’s completely student-run newspaper The Pioneer Log. For the Spring 2020 semester, I studied abroad in Morocco while working on French and Arabic, learning about Moroccan history and politics, and building life-long friendships with my classmates. In my free time, I love catching a movie and dinner with friends, staying in for a night of snacks and Ru Paul’s Drag Race, or making a midnight run to Muchas Gracias for a carne asada burrito. My email is always open for info on the Political Science department or Broadway musical recommendations!
