Bio:

My name is Jacob Muscarella and I’m a Political Science major from Loveland, Colorado. To me, politics is all about the interaction of people and the dynamics of power that exist all around the world. By studying political science, I hope to gain a greater and richer understanding of those relationships and explore different ways of making the world a brighter place with more empathy. I am most interested in studying American politics, especially electoral politics, the power of the President, and what drives individual-level decision-making and public opinion. Lewis & Clark has been a wonderful place to develop my passions and has provided me with spectacular opportunities to develop relationships with my professors while exploring subjects I’ve never encountered before. I’ve also enjoyed representing the student body in the ASLC Senate and serving a semester as Chief Justice. In my free time, I love catching dinner and a movie with friends downtown, staying in for a night of Netflix and snacks, or heading down to the reflecting pool at midnight to listen to the frogs. My email is always open to people looking for info on the Political Science department or Broadway musical recommendations.
