Bio
My name is Amy Gore and I’m a sophomore world languages major and economics minor. I was born in Chongqing, China and was brought over to the US by my American parents when I was nine months old. I started studying Spanish in middle school and also decided to learn Mandarin as a bridge back to my origins. It is always hilarious and frustrating when I reach for one word in one language but end up with the word in the other language. For example, I was trying to say “pen” in Spanish but ended up saying 筆/笔 (bǐ) which was pen in Mandarin.
